Meet Abington Park Surgery. A busy, expanding Medical Centre based in Northampton.
Despite already having a CCTV system in place, a new extension meant that they were looking to upgrade and expand their surveillance. Newer areas needed coverage and the team wanted better cameras to keep everyone properly protected.
The Inside Insight
Following a site survey and discussions with the practice manager and partners, we recommended a mix of internal and external cameras for full cover surveillance.
External cameras covered the perimeter of the surgery, including the new extension, whilst internal cameras kept waiting areas safe. The team chose audio detection cameras for their reception areas to provide full safeguarding for staff and patients.
For minimal disruption to staff and patients, we drew up a project plan with the team to install the system in line with surgery days.
We also set up network recorders and remote access, which means that the practice manager and partners can access video footage from anywhere.

The new CCTV system has transformed the surgery’s security, providing full coverage of the site, including
the new extension, and upgrading the cameras they already had.
High specification cameras and the latest CCTV software means that security footage and audio is clear and consistent. For the busy Practice Manager, being able to access the recording system remotely saves time too, so the team can focus on their patients.
